Computational Logic in the Alps – CLA 2016 – September 5-9, 2016
Introduction
This site provides information for CLA 2016, a combined meeting of
four workshops that will be conducted at the
Obergurgl University Center of the University of Innsbruck
from September 5 until September 9, 2016.
We envision a friendly atmosphere during the meeting, which enables fruitful exchanges leading to joint research and subsequent publications.
Meetings
CLA consists of the following four workshops and meetings:
AJSW 2016 | 4th Austria-Japan Workshop on Rewriting / 45th TRS meeting |
IWC 2016 | 5th International Workshop on Confluence |
LC&A 2016 | Logic, Complexity and Automation |
WST 2016 | 15th International Workshop on Termination |

Call for Papers
There will be no shared call for papers for CLA 2016. Instead have a look at the websites of each of the individual meetings.
Venue
The workshop takes place in the
Obergurgl University Centre:
Universitätszentrum Obergurgl | |
6456 Obergurgl | |
Austria |
We booked a number of rooms from Sunday, September 4 until (and including) Saturday, September 10.
The nearest airport is Innsbruck airport. A more detailed description is to be found here.
We will organise a bus transfer from Innsbruck airport to Obergurgl on Sunday evening at 18:15 and in the inverse direction on Saturday morning at 7:30. (If you arrive at the train station in Innsbruck, you can take bus line F to go to the airport.)
Alternatively you can travel between Innsbruck and Obergurgl by public transport: you can search for a suitable connection via the Austrian railway company ÖBB. Here, example locations are Innsbruck Hbf (train station), Innsbruck Flughafen (airport), and Obergurgl.
Excursion
We offer two alternative excursions on Wednesday. In the evening there will be a shared workshop dinner combined with a wine tasting.
We gathered some photos and one video from the excursion.
1. Rafting
Rafting on the Inn (Imster Schlucht) with Sport-Ossi. If you
can swim and are not shy of water, this will be an unforgettable
experience!
2. Ötzi Village and Stuibenfall
If you prefer something more relaxed, why not join the excursion to Ötzi Village, an archeological theme park devoted to the Copper Age in which the famous Iceman lived. Then you will also get a face-to-face view with the 159m Stuiben falls, Tirol’s highest waterfall.
Registration
The registration has been closed on August 31.
The registration for workshops and accommodation was performed via the following registration system.
The early registration was possible until July 27 (extended). The registration fees are provided in the following table. They cover the coffee breaks, the bus transfer between Innsbruck and Obergurgl on Sunday evening and Saturday morning, as well as the excursion and the CLA dinner.
Student (early) | Regular (early) | Student (late) | Regular (late) | |
---|---|---|---|---|
full week | 140 EUR | 170 EUR | 180 EUR | 220 EUR |
half week | 115 EUR | 145 EUR | 155 EUR | 195 EUR |
For accommodation you can choose between a single room and a shared room for two persons. In the latter case, you can either state a name of a preferred roommate or the organizers will select a roommate.
The accommodation includes breakfast and dinner.
per night (early) | per night (late) | |
---|---|---|
single room | 95 EUR | 100 EUR |
shared two person room | 70 EUR | 75 EUR |
Please keep the following facts in mind when registering:
- The early registration deadline is July 27 (extended).
- If you want to participate in the rafting excursion, we need to know your shoe size and your height for renting the wetsuits.
- You can pay by bank transfer or credit card (Visa or Mastercard).
- You are welcome to bring accompanying persons.
