FWF “Erwin Schrödinger project” accepted (June 30, 2011)

Dr. Christian Sternagel receives an Erwin Schrödinger scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences (FWF).

In its assembly at the end of June the FWF board accepted Christian Sternagel’s proposal on “Open Induction, Kruskal’s Tree Theorem and Simple Termination”. He will conduct the largest part of his research during his 2 year stay at the “Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology” close to Kanazawa before returning back to Innsbruck for a final year. This project intensifies the already fruitful collaboration of the group around Univ-Prof. Dr. Middeldorp with various Japanese partners.
