Exercises

The lecture is a VU, i.e., "Vorlesung" and "Übung" are combined and one grade, and one grade only will be given. We offer 3 exercise-groups (see Time & Place ), where attendence is not mandatory, but in your own interest.

In addition to the weekly exercises, there will be an optional mid-term test (45 min), intended as a verification for you (and us) that the basic topics are understood.

To fix your final grade, we use the following procedure:

Let E denote the result of the exam (max. 50 pts), let T denote the result of the test and the assessment of your cooperation in the exercise classes (max. 50 pts) . Compute (2/3)*E + (1/3)*T and compare with E, whatever is better, determines the final grade.

Mid-Term Test, November 16

The mid-term test covered the material presented in the first 4 weeks. Duration 45 min. If you would like to see your test, please visit us in our office hours.
