The seminar is blocked: the seminar talks will take place on January 21 and 28, the first meeting is on October 11. In the first meeting the topics will be assigned. Each student will be assigned a supervisor from the CL group, regular meetings with this supervisor are recommended.

Registration

Please register online before September 27, 18:00. Please note that we can atmost accept 15 participants.

A number of students registered in parallel for this seminar and the excursion to the Heinz Nixdorf Museumsforum in Paderborn; this is not intended and complicates the administration. We strongly advise you to select the seminar you want to attend and register only for this seminar; furthermore the first meeting is moved to October 11 to fasciliate the coordination with LVA 703325. A measure that we would like to prevent is to block all double registrations!

Guidelines

The final grade will be based on the presentation and the written report. Active participation during the presentations will also be taken into account.

Seminar Talks

The seminar talks should present the main results obtained with respect to the language studied. Each slot will be allocated 30 minutes and the speaker should leave at least 5 minutes for discussion. The talks will be chaired and no overtime will be granted.

Language and Typesetting

We encourage and support the use of English. Theses must be written in LaTeX2e. In order to ensure a uniform layout, the Computational Logic LaTeX class must be used. Before producing the final version of the seminar report, make sure you use the latest version. Reports written in German must contain an abstract in English. The report should be between 10 and 15 pages long.

Proof-Reading

Make sure to use a spell checker. Send a pre-final version of your report to your supervisor for final comments.
